I'm a new salesperson. How soon can I spin?
Assuming the vehicle has gone through a Retail Delivery Registration (RDR) by 5 p.m. Pacific Time, you can spin the following business day. Additionally, you must have W-9 tax information on file, have taken all required quizzes on the Online University, and be at least 21 years of age. Discuss the criteria with your manager to make sure you are eligible.
How do I spin?
Playing is easy. Just follow the instructions for the program you select. You can elect to play one VIN at a time, or you can play all your VINs at once if the Play All function is available on that program. You will not see a game being played before your winnings are displayed if you use the Play All option.
How do I learn how the spin game works?
Most games have a Game Demo button on the page you select your VIN.
Another Sales Consultant helped me with a sale reported under my name. Can I share my winnings?
Yes. After you complete a spin, you can choose to divide your winnings with another eligible Sales Consultant at your dealership. If the VIN was part of a Play All spin, you cannot divide the winnings during the spin process. Instead, you can divide Play All winnings up to midnight Central Time on the day you played the VIN by accessing the program's Spin Summary report found via the Reports tab.
How will I know which vehicles are eligible for SpinPlay?
When a program begins, a Marketing Bulletin is issued that explains the information you need to know, including specifics about the eligible vehicles. Most dealership questions concerning program dates, eligible vehicles, and participant eligibility requirements are addressed by the Marketing Bulletin.
I work evenings at our dealership. Do I have to come in during the day to access SpinPlay?
No. SpinPlay is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, for your convenience. In addition, SpinPlay can be accessed from any computer with Internet access.
How long after the SpinPlay end date can I still spin?
SpinPlay will remain open several (usually seven) calendar days after the program-end date. Exact dates are listed in each program's Marketing Bulletin.

I'm eligible, but I still can't spin on a vehicle I sold. Why?
There are several factors that can stop you from spinning. Check through these possibilities, review the Marketing Bulletin for program details, and discuss the corrective actions you need to take with your manager.
- An RDR for the vehicle has not been received yet
- The vehicle has not been reported as a lease by HFS in a lease-only spin
- The vehicle is not eligible
- The vehicle was reported under a different Sales Consultant
- The vehicle was previously reported sold
- The vehicle was sold/delivered before or after the program period
- The VIN has been placed in audit by AHM for one of the following reasons;
- – Reported sale from before program period was unwound and re-reported sold during program period
- – VIN removed as a penalty for a fraudulent unwind/RDR
VIN is in Audit status. What does this mean?
The VIN is not available for SpinPlay due to suspicion of fraud in connection with the reporting of the vehicle sale. A VIN is placed in audit for the following reasons:
- Reported sale from before program period was unwound and re-reported sold during program period
- VIN removed as a penalty for a fraudulent unwind/RDR
If you have a VIN in Audit status that you believe should be eligible for the program, please see your District Sales Manager.
I have taken all my COSL quizzes, and I still can't spin. Why?
Allow two business days for the system to register your completed quizzes.

Are all leases eligible for a SpinPlay lease program?
No. Only the models designated in the program Marketing Bulletin that are leased through Honda Financial ServicesSM (HFS) are eligible.
Does the lease contract have to be booked during the program period?
Yes. The vehicle must be delivered and reported through the RDR system during the program period, and the lease contract must be booked by HFS within the program period.
What happens if the lease contract is canceled?
If the lease contract is canceled, the VIN becomes ineligible, and any spin award dollars received for that VIN will be removed from the Sales Consultant's Honda Reward Card.
When are eligible lease vehicles available for spinning?
Due to a delay in HFS reporting, eligible VINs will not be available for spinning until approximately three to seven business days after the RDR submission.
How long after the program period ends will a Sales Consultant be able to spin?
The spin period is extended to two weeks after the end of the program period to accommodate the HFS reporting delay. Exact dates are listed in each program's Marketing Bulletin.
I leased an eligible vehicle, but it is not appearing in the drop-down box on the SpinPlay game page. Why?
If it was an eligible model that was properly reported via an RDR during the program period, most likely the lease confirmation has not been received from HFS. Use the VIN search feature on the home page to see whether an individual VIN has been reported via RDR and the lease booking has been reported by HFS.

Under the Reports tab, you can find reports for unwinds, audits, and exceptions, as well as a spin summary for each program.

I am trying to search for a VIN I sold, but am receiving an error. Why?
Either the VIN for which you are searching was not found, or your DPTS ID was not identified as either the Sales Consultant or an award recipient for the requested VIN. Check the VIN you entered for errors, verify the RDR information, and/or contact the Sales Consultant whom you helped complete the sale.

How do I update information on my profile page?
Name and Social Security number corrections can only be made through the Dealership Personnel Training System (DPTS). See your dealership DPTS administrator. To change birthday, you must call Program Headquarter at 1-888-309-8359 and provide proof of correct date of birth.
You can update other personal information at any time by selecting the Update Profile tab above.

Awards: Honda Reward Card
When will I receive my Honda Reward Card?
You will receive your card within three weeks after your first spin. The card will be sent via U.S. mail to the tax address you provided on your Award Recipient Profile.
I already have a Honda Reward Card – when will my SpinPlay winnings be added to my card?
Winnings will be added to your card within two weeks of playing.
When will bonus winnings be added to my card?
Bonuses will be added to cards approximately 30 days after the last day that SpinPlay is open for a given program.
Is the Honda Reward Card a credit card?
No. The Honda Reward Card is a stored-value Visa card that carries an award-dollar amount based on participant achievement

Where can the Honda Reward Card be used?
The Honda Reward Card can be used to make purchases everywhere Visa is accepted – at more than 19 million Visa merchant locations – except pay-at-the-pump at service stations and at gambling merchants. It may be used for purchases at retail outlets, from catalogs, and online merchants.
Is there a limit on how much value the Honda Reward Card can have?
No. The card will be loaded based on participant achievement.
Is there a limit on how much I can withdraw from the Honda Reward Card at an ATM?
Yes. There is a $500-per-day limit on cash withdrawals from your Honda Reward Card. All ATM fees are the responsibility of the cardholder.
Can I order a spouse card?
Yes. You can order a spouse card online at www.HondaRewardsCard.net. A $5 fee will be deducted from your account.
Does the card recipient need to sign an agreement?
Each card is distributed with a Cardholder Agreement & Disclosure. This agreement fully explains the term and conditions regarding the use of the card. This agreement can also be viewed online. The cardholder accepts the terms and conditions by signing the back of the card and using the card.
Will the cardholder receive a statement?
Cardholders can review their current balances online, free of charge, at www.HondaRewardsCard.net. In addition, the cardholder can call the toll-free Cardholder Services number, 1-866-462-5971, to receive balance and transaction information.
What happens if I need to return an item?
Each merchant location has its own return policies and will handle the returns in the same manner as any other Visa transaction. It may credit your Honda Reward Card, provide a cash refund, or issue store credit.
What if the purchase is denied?
The card's available balance is probably less than the purchase amount. You may inform the merchant of the remaining balance on the card and use another form of payment to pay the difference, subject to the policy of the merchant. Also, please be aware that use of the Honda Reward Card at some merchants – for example, restaurants, mail-order companies, and cruise lines – requires the card have an available balance greater than the purchase amount to ensure sufficient funds for tips or incidental expenses. The card is not valid at pay-at-the-pump at service stations and at gambling merchants.
Does the Honda Reward Card have an expiration date?
Yes. Please refer to the expiration date indicated on the front of the card. American Honda reserves the right to cancel your card after 24 months of inactivity.
What happens if there are still funds available when my Honda Reward Card expires?
We encourage you to use all your award dollars before the card expires. If you are an active employee of an eligible Honda dealership and have had account activity in the last 24 months, your funds will be rolled over to a new card. If there has been no activity on your card for 24 months, your card will expire and all award dollars on the card will become the property of American Honda.
What tax liability is associated with the awards dollars placed on my Honda Reward Card?
Award dollars added to your Honda Reward Card will be treated as taxable income, whether or not you spend them. You will be required to pay applicable federal, state, and local taxes on those dollars.
What happens if my Honda Reward Card is lost or stolen?
Cardholder Services provides 24-hour, toll-free support. Immediately report any problems or a lost or stolen card by calling 1-866-466-0057. A replacement card will be issued and any available balance will be transferred to the new card, less a $15 replacement card fee, which will be deducted from the card's available balance. As long as the lost or stolen card is reported immediately, you will not be responsible for any unauthorized merchant charges.

Who is liable for taxes on SpinPlay winnings?
As outlined in the Honda Marketing Bulletins, Sales Consultants are liable for any and all taxes on their SpinPlay winnings.
When will I receive my 1099 form for my SpinPlay winnings?
The 1099 forms will be mailed the last week in January.
What if I need the 1099 sent to a new address?
Send a FAX to American Honda Motor's corporate office at 310-224-6673 (secure fax line). Make sure your FAX includes your name, phone number, and Social Security number, in addition to your new address.
What if I don't receive a 1099?
If you have won less than $600 and believe your 1099 is lost, call American Honda Motor at 310-781-6788, to request a replacement. If you reach voice mail, include your name, phone number, and Social Security number in your message.
How can I determine how many award dollars I received on my Honda Reward Card this year?
View your transaction history, which will list all award dollars issued to your card, at www.HondaRewardsCard.net.
